Established in 1865 Ave Maria Press is a major Catholic publisher, recognised as a leader in books on prayer and spirituality. Authors include Joyce Rupp, Henri Nouwen, Robert Wicks and Mother Theresa.

 

Convivium Press

Convivium Press, based in Miami, FL, provides a significant contribution to religious studies through English and Spanish translations of classic authors and contemporary voices. Authors include N. T. Wright, Albert Vanhoye, Luis F. Ladaria and José Antonio Pagola. 

 

Carta Jerusalem

Established in 1958, Carta Jerusalem has developed the world’s largest data bank for maps and texts depicting biblical reality and events – both Old and New Testament times and intermediate periods are all here in one place: the historical geography of Bible lands and cultures, the history and archaeology of Jerusalem and other sacred sites, biblical and later archaeology of the Holy Land. Authors include Ada Yardeni, F F Bruce, Leen Ritmeyer and Michael Avi-Yonah.


Wm B Eerdmans Publishing Company

The William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, established in 1910, is an independent publisher of religious books, from academic works in theology, biblical studies, religious history and reference to popular titles in spirituality, social and cultural criticism, and literature. Authors include Richard Bauckham, Anthony C. Thiselton, Daniel L. Migliore and Walter Brueggemann. 


Hendrickson Publishers

Founded in 1980 Hendrickson Publishers, based in Peabody, Massachusetts, publishes a wide variety of print, audio and DVD Bibles. In addition to Bibles, their products include books on Christian living topics, Biblical studies and reference works for both pastors and the thoughtful layperson, devotionals, and many of the Christian classics. Authors include G K Chesterton, Elizabeth Goudge and John Calvin. 

Kregel Academic

Sensing a growing need for solidly evangelical works, Kregel Publications began in 1949 to supply resources to meet the spiritual needs of evangelical readers as well as the professional needs of pastors, missionaries, teachers, and Christian leaders. Authors include C Marvin Pate, Jason S. DeRouchie and Alan S Bandy. 


Orbis Books

Orbis Books have been leaders in religious publishing since 1970. They offer a wide range of books on prayer, spirituality, Catholic life, theology, mission and current affairs. The publishing arm of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, Orbis Books addresses a broad readership exploring the global dimensions of faith, inviting dialogue with diverse cultures and traditions, and serving the cause of reconciliation and peace. Authors include Pope Francis, Joyce Rupp, Joan Chittister and David J Bosch. 


Paulist Press

Established in 1872, the Paulist Press is a major component of the work of the Paulist Fathers. It seeks to bridge a gap between faith and culture by means of publishing materials that are both intellectually engaging and spiritually fulfilling. Authors include Pope Francis, Walter Kasper, Richard Leonard and Thomas Merton.  


Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht

 Based in Gottingen, Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht have been publishing academic literature since 1735 making it one of the oldest independent publishing houses in the world. Authors include Betsy Halpern-Amaru, Marvin Lloyd Miller and James M. Scott.

 

World Council of Churches

WCCWCC Publications is the book publishing programme of the World Council of Churches. It facilitates global Christianity’s “alternative voice” and enhances the larger visibility and cultural presence of the ecumenical movement. Authors include Keith Clements, Susan Kim, and Edward Dommen.
