The following information applies to orders placed on the Alban Books website.

Postage Costs

Alban Books supplies books to the UK and Europe only. Postage costs are:

UK: £2.75 for the first book and £1.00 each additional book
Europe: £3.95 for the first book and £1.50 for each additional book
Special Order books to UK or Europe: postage free (see below for Special Order details)

Delivery Times

Different books have different delivery times:

All books except Special Order, Not Yet Published and Out of Stock books (see below)

UK: 3-5 working days from despatch of order
Europe: 5-8 working days from despatch of order

Special Order books

Some books are marked as 'Special Order' on the Book Details page. The delivery times for these books is 4-6 weeks. You can add them to your shopping cart and order them in the normal way. Postage on these books is free.

Not Yet Published books

Some books are marked as 'Not Yet Published' on the Book Details page. The estimated publication date, where it is known, is also shown. Please note we cannot guarantee that a book will be available on a particular date and publication dates can change. You can add Not Yet Published books to your shopping cart and order them in the normal way. Your card will be charged when the book is despatched.

Temporarily Out of Stock books

Some books are marked as 'Temporarily Out of Stock' on the Book Details page. We are expecting the book to become available again, although we often cannot say when this will be. You can add Temporarily Out of Stock books to your shopping cart and order them in the normal way. Your card will be charged when the book is despatched.

How to order a book from Alban Books

From the Alban Books website

• To find the book you want to buy, click on the 'Books' tab at the top of the page. You can search by Author, Title, ISBN, Subject, Series and/or Publisher.
• A Book Listing of search results will appear. To see more about a particular book, or to buy it, click on the see more link
• The Book Details page will appear. This gives full information about a book, its price, availability and delivery times. To buy the book, click on the red 'Add this book to your shopping cart' button.
• Your Shopping Cart shows you all the books you are currently buying. When you add a new book, your Shopping Cart will appear. To view your Shopping Cart at any time, click on the 'Shopping Cart' tab at the top of the page. Your Shopping Cart will also show you the postage cost of your order.
• When you have finished shopping, go to your Shopping Cart and click on the 'Checkout' button. You will then be asked to enter your delivery and payment details. All payment details on the Alban Books website are encrypted and are fully secure, so you don't need to worry about entering your credit or debit card details.
• When your order has been placed, you will receive an email confirmation of the order. The confirmation will include an order reference number which you should keep safe in case of future queries.
• If there are any problems with your order, an Alban Books member of staff will contact you. Please make sure you provide up-to-date contact details.

By post

If you want to order a book from Alban Books and pay by cheque, you can do so by post. Please make cheques payable to 'Alban Books Ltd' and remember to include postage costs (see above). Send your order to:

We can accept payment on this website using the following cards:

Returns

Within 30 days of receipt of your order, you may return any book (except Special Order books, see above) in its original condition for a full refund. Please note that we can process returns and refunds only for items purchased from this website, www.albanbooks.com.

In the first instance, please contact our customer service team (contact details below) to receive a returns authorisation, indicating the reason for the return and including your invoice details.

Please note that Alban Books will not pay for return postage costs unless we have made a processing error or if the book is damaged or defective. If this is the case, please contact our customer service team first:

After you have received a returns authorisation from our customer service team (see above), you will be asked to send the returns package to the address below. Please include the invoice documentation with the book(s) and wrap the package securely. Please use a secure and traceable method of postage.

Out of Print books are not listed on this website. If you can't find the book you're looking for, and think it may be Out of Print, please contact sales@albanbooks.com for further help.
