Orbis Books publishes works to enlighten the mind, nourish the spirit, and challenge the conscience.

The publishing arm of the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, a Catholic mission movement, Orbis Books was established in 1970. It addresses a broad readership of seekers, scholars and students with books of Catholic, general and academic interest. Works on spirituality, theology, history, mission and other topics explore the global dimensions of faith, invite and promote dialogue with diverse cultures and religions, and serve the causes of reconciliation and peace.
